PHILANTHROPY, DISABILITY AND DIVERSITY: OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP

Twenty-five years after the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed, how inclusive is philanthropy in the Chicago region? What are the opportunities and benefits of including disability in the funding strategies? How can philanthropy play a leadership role in making the Chicago region the most inclusive in the nation? Hear from Kelly Brown, of the national D5 coalition that focused on diversity in philanthropy about national progress toward including disability in the diversity conversation, as well as local foundation leaders who are addressing disability through their work. The panel includes: Clark McCain, Senior Program Officer Coleman Foundation; Frank Baiocchi, Senior Program Officer Polk Bros. Foundation, Grace Hou, CEO Woods Fund and will be moderated by Emily Harris, Executive Director of ADA 25 Chicago.
