BEYOND THE GLASS: INTERPRETING AQUARIUM COLLECTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND OR LOW VISION
The Chicago Lighthouse will collaborate with Shedd Aquarium to develop ways to use adaptive technology and other design techniques, so that people who are blind or have low vision can have meaningful experiences when interacting with exhibits. Successful design techniques developed in this project might eventually be adapted and utilized in other museum and exhibition settings.
