CHICAGOLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION PROGRAMS
More than 800,000 people in the Chicago region live with disabilities, representing a largely untapped talent pool and a significant consumer market. Yet, 25 years after the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), too many people with disabilities continue to face lives of poverty rather than opportunity. The ADA 25 Chicago Opportunity Summit will convene national and local leaders to explore robust strategies to break the poverty cycle and increase access and inclusion in the areas of greatest need -- education and employment.

CHICAGOLAND BUSINESS LEADERSHIP NETWORK
The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Foundation is re-activating the Chicagoland Business Leadership Network, an affiliate of the US Business Leadership Network,to advance the employment of individuals with disabilities. CBLN will facilitate the creation of workplaces, marketplaces and supply chains where people with disabilities are included, by convening solution-focused forums that will help employers overcome traditional barriers to hiring people with disabilities. As a legacy of ADA 25 Chicago, CBLN seeks 25 business members to create a vibrant business-to-business network with the long term goal of reducing the unemployment rate for people with disabilities.
