The Council for Adult & Experiential Learning (CAEL) held a webinar on service animal policies and procedures at colleges and universities on Tuesday, December 1st. This webinar, which was organized through the Veterans Higher Education Affinity Group, is intended to better equip participants to support student veterans with service animals in the classroom and on campus. The webinar will cover the following topics:
-The legal requirements, including relevant provisions under the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act of 1990, the Fair Housing Act, and local/state laws.
-How these laws might affect policies for student veterans with service animals
-Resources for student veterans seeking individually trained service dogs
