BUILDING AN ACCESSIBLE METROPOLITAN CHICAGO: “LISTEN AND LEARN” FOR DESIGNERS
On November 18, 2015, Terry Guen Design Associates (TGDA), a Chicago-based Landscape Architecture Studio, as a proud program partner with ADA 25 Chicago, will present “Listen and Learn” for Designers. This event features our special guest, Joe Russo, Deputy Commissioner of the City of Chicago’s Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), in direct discussion with leading designers from Chicago’s landscape architecture, architecture, and civil engineering community.
ADA 25 CHICAGO SYMPOSIUM WITH MOPD AND LOCAL DESIGNERS
Terry Guen Design Associates is working with the Mayor’s Office of People with Disabilities (MOPD) and other local designers to organize a symposium that will accentuate the importance of keeping universal accessibility at the forefront of the design process. The goal of the symposium is to have designers converse openly with MOPD before potential projects arrive. The symposium aims to have a constructive impact on the design community with a review and analysis of the best and worst accessibility projects so that designers can successfully integrate universal accessibility into their future designs, which will be utilized by the general public with and without disabilities.
