SENSORY FRIENDLY/AUTISM FRIENDLY PERFORMANCES
The Theatre School at DePaul University plans to expand their services to offer Sensory Friendly/Autism Friendly performances for parents and children on weekends, one per production, during the school year, starting in 2016-17. As with all other access services, the plan is to offer this as an on-going project/process, to include people who may not currently be served by performances.
CURRENT PERFORMANCE ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS
The Theatre School offers ASL interpreting at DePaul’s Merle Reskin Theatre downtown and at the Fullerton Stage in Lincoln Park. The Theatre School has closed captioning for performances in the Fullerton Stage and Healy Theatre and one audio described performance with a touch tour in these spaces for each production.
